Ficus Religiosa Bonsai | Bonsai Ligustrum

I have two bonsai tree peepal. (Ficus religiosa). they both are about 15 years. my problem is that their size is very large share of approximately 8 cm in diameter. I tried various methods to reduce the size of the leaves, such as defoliation, cut the leaves into two etc, but could not succeed. Can someone help me with the reduction in leaf size and increasing density of the foliage.

In general, the Ficus is a good topic ... bonsai however, Ficus religiosa is not one of the easiest. Defoliated when you left the factory in the sun? If so, new leaves should be somewhat reduced.I doubt you'll ever get very low.

F. religiosa also wants to continue to grow! Continue the cut apical growth to get it to become more dense. Again, a very slow process.

For a richer experience Ficus bonsai try a variety such as easier Ficus salicifolia nerifolia alias etc.
