More than 5,000 competitors, parents and coaches lined the inside of the Miller Coliseum to start the games, which include tournaments at the U-14 through U-19 age level. The seating portion of the arena looked like a collage of colors with each team having their athletes wearing the same shirt. It created a sea of red, black, with different shades of blue and even some tie-dye across the arena. Murfreesboro Soccer Club Select Commissioner Bill Terry said a group of representatives from Murfreesboro and the state association visited last year's southern regional to grasp how the tournament works.
