Denise Richards to release book, detail life with Charlie Sheen

The 45-year-old actor, often touted as one of Hollywood's "bad boys," married Richards, 40, in 2002. The two are parents to Sam, 7, and Lola, 6. Sheen and Richards, his second wife, divorced in 2006. The relationship between the two has been rocky, before and after their separation.

Sheen has been making headlines in recent months, mainly due to his firing from the CBS sitcom "Two and a Half Men," which occurred following a rehab stint and a slew of erratic, on-air rants.

Richards' book is called "The Real Girl Next Door" and is set for release on July 27, the "Wild Things" actress' spokesperson told OnTheRedCarpet.com.

"Really excited..book signings are being scheduled for me when my book comes out!" Richards said on her Twitter page recently. "July 26. Hope to see a lot of you!!!"

RadarOnline quoted Richards as saying that the book will contain details about "the good stuff about my marriage , because people have only read the rotten stuff."

"So, you know, there was a beautiful love story between he and I and then it went the way it went," she added. "But I talk more about how I felt during that time, because I think a lot of women can relate to that going through a divorce and custody and being a single parent, trying to work and all that stuff."

In 2006, Richards obtained a restraining order against Sheen, accusing him of threatening her. He denied this. The order was later dropped and the two worked out a private agreement and custody arrangements for their daughters.

Richards has often spent time with Sheen after their divorce. She visited him in New York in October 2010 on the day he underwent a psychiatric evaluation at a hospital after reportedly trashing a hotel room, where he had spent time with a porn star. She later accused him of assaulting her in a hotel room while intoxicated. Sheen was not charged and police closed the case.

Richards said on "The Joy Behar Show" after the incident that she "knew what happened." She also said she and Sheen were "in a good place with each other" with regard to their children, adding that the pair attends their birthday parties together.

Production on "Two and a Half Men" was suspended in January 2011 after Sheen began treatment for drug and alcohol addiction. He was fired in March after insulting co-creator Chuck Lorre in on-air interviews. During one with ABC show "20/20," Sheen referenced Richards, saying his relationship with her was "pretty good.

After their divorce, Jacobson came out to Fran, sharing that he had been dating men. Fran revealed, "By the time he told me, I had survived uterine cancer. Nothing could shake me."

Over the last few years, the relationship between Fran and Peter has not been strenuous but instead enjoyable and loving. The two have even set each other up on dates! In fact, it is their collaboration and their story which will be hitting televisions worldwide tonight. "Peter and I feel so blessed to have met each other and to still have a caring, loving relationship... Love is what we're all about."
