'Oprah' spoofs a testimony to popularity
When you are as rich, powerful and popular as Oprah Winfrey, entertainers are going to tweak you.
It's rite of passage the first time a show spoofs a personality - and a testimony to celebrity each time afterward. You know you've made it when "Saturday Night Live" is mocking the way you look, talk and the fact millions of fans adore you.
Winfrey has been spoofed over the years on subjects as personal as her weight and her relationship with Stedman Graham to monetary topics like her ostentatious "favorite things" giveaways and the rabid reaction of her audience members upon receiving them.
Even Winfrey's long, bellowing declarations are popular fodder for spoofing, too. Some of these skits might come off as a little mean, but it's a small price Winfrey must pay for so much fortune and glory. Here are a few spoofs of Winfrey - some good, some bad and some certainly ugly.
Some of the earliest Winfrey spoofs come from 90s comedy show "In Living Color," where actress Kim Wayans portrayed the media mogul before she became a force of nature. In this clip , "Oprah" lambastes men who are afraid of commitment, all the while eating and eating and eating. Things go from ridiculous to absurd when Oprah starts basting a spit of roasted chicken.
Winfrey's fondness of food and her ability to influence people take center stage in this clip , where diners at Oprah's restaurant fall victim to her persuasive prowess. Wayan's Oprah begins by undermining a man's plans to propose to his girlfriend, and then she gets a woman's children taken away from her. Her interviews with diners culminates several of them to burst out in revelations ranging from a man deciding to get a sex change to a gentleman with stinky feet.
Winfrey's "favorite things" giveaways to her studio audience are legend - praised for being generous and criticized for being an ego trip. This "Saturday Night Live" clip stars Maya Rudolph as Oprah during her 50th-birthday giveaway. Fans getting the goodies dance the cancan, throw chairs, go into labor and, literally, blow their tops over gifts including smoked boots, sweaters and macaroons.
MADtv's takes on Winfrey pack a bit more bite than the average spof. They're edgier, raunchier and a lot more raw. Actress Debra Wilson's Oprah makes out with Dr. Phil. A lot. She flies into berserk rages. And she isn't afraid to get physical with fans who get on her nerves, like the grabby studio audience in this clip that requires a baseball bat to fend off. Dr. Phil scurries into a dog kennel - upon Oprah's command - after a guest on the show rebuffs a gift from the hostess. The nerve… We can't embed this clip for you, so you'll have to check it out here.

Celebs gone wild: Miley Cyrus Was 'Up For Anything' On 'SNL ...
"Yes, Miley [was fun to work with]," Wiig said while in New York on Monday (March 7) doing press for her alien-comedy flick, "Paul." "She's cool. It was really, really fun."
Guest host Miley poked fun at her own infamous bong video controversy, as well as at Justin Bieber — whom she played alongside Vanessa Bayer, who just so happens to play Cyrus on the "SNL" skit "The Miley Cyrus Show." Cyrus even went for Lindsay Lohan and Black Eyed Peas frontwoman Fergie. And it was Cyrus' willingness to have a little fun at her own expense that made her the perfect host, according to Wiig.
"Yeah, she was great," the actress said. "She was up for anything. That's always, to me, what makes a host fun to have around. They'll make fun of themselves or how the media perceives them. She was up for anything, which was so great."
In addition to the performance by the Strokes , some of the night's other highlights included Miley's musical number "I'm Sorry I'm Not Perfect" and "Disney Channel Acting School," where Miley and fellow Disney star Raven Symoné (played by Kenan Thompson) taught such subjects such as "Reacting to Stinky Feet" and "Spying in a Doorway," required skills for any actor on a Disney series.
